Plans & quotas

ParityRail's own plans, what a customer-scan is, the 30-day quota window, and what each tier unlocks.

This page is about your ParityRail subscription — not the plans your own customers pay you for. Those are exactly what ParityRail checks.

ParityRail's plans

A plan governs two things: how many customer-scans your workspace can run each month, and which capabilities are unlocked.

Billing isn’t configured on this deployment — every workspace starts on Free, and the upgrade path is a contact link. The quota below is live regardless of plan.

How upgrading works

Paid plans (Starter, Pro) are billed through Lemon Squeezy, acting as merchant of record for ParityRail. That means Lemon Squeezy — not ParityRail — handles VAT/GST/sales tax collection, invoices, and receipts for your subscription, wherever you’re based.

  • Upgrade: choosing a paid plan opens a Lemon Squeezy–hosted checkout for that plan. Nothing changes in your workspace until Lemon Squeezy confirms the subscription — a webhook is the only thing that flips your plan.
  • Manage: once subscribed, Manage billingin workspace settings opens Lemon Squeezy’s customer portal to update your payment method, view invoices, or cancel.
  • Cancel:cancelling keeps your plan’s features until the current billing period ends, then the workspace reverts to Free.
  • Businessstays a contact plan — reach out and we’ll set up custom pricing and an SLA.
Billing isn’t configured on this deployment, so upgrading falls back to a contact link instead of hosted checkout.

What counts as a customer-scan

A customer-scan is one customer checked during a bulk scan. Scan 400 customers in one run, and that run spends 400 credits.

  • Metered: full scans (all customers) and scheduled recent scans — counted by how many customers they actually check.
  • Never metered: a single-customer check, whether you run it from the customer page, the API, or MCP. These are always free.

The 30-day usage window

Credits reset on a rolling 30-day window per workspace, not a calendar month. The first time you scan after that window passes, the counter resets to zero and a fresh window starts.

You can see your usage and the reset date in workspace settings.

Unlimited plans (Business) are never metered and never blocked.

What happens at the limit

The quota is a guardrail on automated and bulk work — it never blocks you from helping a single customer.

  • A bulk run (full or recent) is checked before it starts. If the workspace is already at or over its limit, the run stops with Monthly scan limit reached — upgrade to keep monitoring instead of doing any work.
  • A single-customer check always runs— from the customer page, the API, or MCP — even when you’re over the limit. Support work is never paused by the quota.

What each tier unlocks

Each tier builds on the one before it. Free is manual and detect-only; Starter adds repair, scheduling, and alerts; Pro adds team features; Business removes the limits.
